Creating new technologies for doctors and medical stuff could be a little complicated. Doctors do not have a lot of time to learn how to use new technologies and on the other hand, new technologies sometimes are complex and not easy to use. The following images describe the process I went trough when I designed a new multi-functional instrument for the physical exam and the electronic health record interface for recording and evaluating the device data.

What I Do

As a User Experience (UX) Designer, researcher and creative problem solver, I see my job as more than simply design using technology. In developing devices, digital products, mobile apps, software and services, I use human-centered methodologies to create powerful solutions that connect you to others. Whether you’re a large healthcare or technology company, or a small start-up ready to take off, my role is to help you use technology to make life better; better for you and better for your customers.

How I Do This

I specialize in working in the areas of technology, healthcare, consulting, public services and software. I work with local agencies, hospitals, and start-ups as well as US and European consulting companies who are interested in conducting research in my native South America. As a small team of one, I can travel to you or work remotely to facilitate different time zones.

Working collaboratively, I brainstorm, sketch, chat and interact with you, and your users, to solve challenging problems and create products that offer workable solutions. Then we test and test until we get it right. I find that testing the concept and product at early stages saves a lot of money and time in the long run, so that when the product reaches your users it is based on their needs and motivations.

In conjunction with your team, I apply my knowledge to:

Design new online applications
Test and improve the usability of new or existing products
Facilitate the integration of complex systems, such as electronic health records
Improve or develop new experiences and services
